Coffee Circus Lisboa takes its name from the wider Coffee Circus network, a women owned specialty roaster with a bohemian streak that gives each of its Malta and Portugal locations its own city name. Tucked into a basement on Triq San Gwann, the room feels like a woody cabin in the mountains, thoughtfully decorated down to the pebble inlaid step out front.

Pastel de nata and flat white make the most requested pairing, though the shop pours through V60, Chemex, AeroPress and cold brew alongside espresso for anyone wanting to taste a bean a different way. Outdoor and street seating spill onto the pavement, giving the basement space more room to breathe than its footprint suggests.
