Lola Bikes & Coffee combines a working bicycle repair shop with coffee on Noordeinde, one of the older streets of The Hague running toward the royal palace grounds. Faded Persian rugs and bicycles hung on the walls give the room a lived in, Dutch domestic feel, and the espresso bar sources ethically traded single origin Colombian beans roasted in Belgium, alongside an in house Amani blend tied to bicycle projects in East Africa.

Customers dropping off a bike for a repair get a free cappuccino while they wait, while students, workers and tourists settle into the laptop friendly space for coffee, cakes and toasties. The shop also sells merchandise and bike products. It has been running long enough to be one of the earlier specialty coffee spots in the city and keeps long hours seven days a week.
