Solkant Cafe & Roastery

Solkant runs its cafe on a quiet stretch of Pipersgatan a minute from Radhuset metro, roasting its own beans at a separate facility in Mariefred and bringing them into Kungsholmen under a striped awning and a neon sign in the window. The room stays small enough that a busy fika can fill every seat, better visited off peak than during the lunchtime rush.
V60 and other filter cups get consistent praise alongside the espresso and cappuccino side of the menu, and the kitchen pairs coffee with a short savory and sweet list, Basque cheesecake and a kimchi grilled cheese among the regulars. Beans go home with customers as often as they get poured over the counter, the retail side treated as seriously as the bar.
