Kalve Coffee

Raimonds Selga and Gatis Zemanis founded Kalve in January 2019, and the roastery has since grown into thirteen specialty coffee shops across Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Paris, and Lisbon, all supplied by the same Latvia based roastery. Kalve roasts its own specialty grade beans and describes itself as B Corp and Direct Trade certified, paying premium prices through direct relationships with farmers, producer organizations, and cooperatives, work that won the roastery a Roast Masters award in Amsterdam in 2025.

Living Room is the flagship, set inside a raw plastered building on Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela with a stone counter, rotating local art, and a queue that builds through the morning. A full filter and espresso list runs alongside pastries baked fresh on site, the kind of room built as much for a quick coffee on the way past as for staying a few hours.
