Můj šálek kávy

Můj šálek kávy is the flagship cafe of Doubleshot, the Prague roastery that began importing green coffee directly from farmers in 2010 and has since grown into one of the country's main specialty operations. This Karlín room has been running since the roastery's early years and still reads as a working neighborhood spot rather than a polished showcase, exposed brick, a faded mural along one wall, floor to ceiling blackboards listing the day's coffee and food, and big street facing windows that stay full of laptops from morning through evening.
Every cup comes from Doubleshot's own roasting, poured as espresso or filter alongside a menu that runs from weekday breakfast into a full weekend brunch and a short lunch and dinner list, all built around cakes and pastries made on site. Bags of the house roast go home with regulars, and the low outdoor benches out front are as often taken up by a dog stretched out at its owner's feet as by another coffee. It sits at the quieter end of Karlín's cafe row, a few doors from the neighborhood's newer openings, and keeps the feel of the district before it became one of Prague's busiest coffee streets.
