Tanat

The TANAT storefront on Rue Tiquetonne, baristas at the counter and rows of orange coffee bags displayed on a shelf

Tanat is the roaster formerly known as Kawa, one of the reference names in Paris, with head roaster Thomas Clement steering the program toward co fermented lots, alternative processing and unusual varieties alongside a more approachable everyday range. The roastery sits up in the 18th on Rue d'Aubervilliers; the Tiquetonne shop, opened in January 2025 with brown tiling on the counter and pops of orange, is the one to pick if you are walking the 2nd, a few doors from the covered passages and the Rue Montorgueil market street.

A La Marzocco handles the espresso side and there is V60, Chemex and batch filter for the slower lots, with sweets on the counter and beans and gear to take home. Three more Tanat bars cover the Marais (Rue des Archives), Châtelet (Avenue Victoria) and the 10th (Rue du Château d'Eau), so wherever you are in central Paris one is close.
