Casamarrò

The CASAMARRO' wordmark painted on the storefront window, croissants and pastries lined up in the case behind the glass

Casamarrò began as an Instagram account, sourdough loaves and pastries that Maria Antonietta baked at home under the nickname Marrò and photographed for a following that kept growing until the account outgrew her kitchen. She eventually opened a physical micro bakery and cafe under the same name, carrying her Sicilian roots into the room itself rather than leaving them behind on the page.

For coffee, she partnered with Palermo roaster Alessio Vabres, choosing a Sicilian supplier deliberately rather than a Milan default so the cup would carry the same regional thread as the bread. The counter runs sourdough loaves, viennoiserie and a weekend brunch menu, the coffee itself just as much of a draw as the pastry case. It keeps a short week, open Wednesday through Sunday mornings into early afternoon, closed Monday and Tuesday.
