Kaffe Kid

The plant filled, boho furnished seating area at Kaffe Kid in Gothenburg, with string lights and a dog curled up in the back corner

Kaffe Kid sits on Varmlandsgatan in the Linné district, a five minute walk from Gothenburg's central square, and doubles as a cultural venue as much as a coffee shop. Boho furnishings, hanging plants, and a small stage fill a room built around Gothenburg roasted coffee, with a shop dog usually curled up somewhere among the wicker chairs.

The stage hosts poetry readings, small art exhibitions, live acoustic sets, and improv comedy alongside the daily coffee and cake trade, plus vegan and gluten free options on the pastry counter. Closed on Mondays, the rest of the week runs from morning coffee through evening events, with owner Fredrik known for inviting first time visitors into whatever is happening that night.
