Nordic Roasting Co

A row of colorful espresso machines and grinders in teal, yellow and pink on a wooden counter, with rows of coffee bag canisters shelved behind

Nordic Roasting Co was founded in 2020 by Francesco Impallomeni, Jacob Frankel and Miguel Botero, and most of what fills the shelves here is direct traded, bought as close to the growers as the founders can manage, with anything sourced through importers disclosed openly rather than left vague. The shop functions as roastery, cafe and classroom at once, running barista classes and cupping workshops alongside the daily counter service, taught by a small team who clearly enjoy walking newcomers through farming, processing and roasting rather than just pulling shots. Coffees are named for the specific farm or region they came from, from Ethiopia to Honduras to Papua New Guinea, and rotate as fresh lots arrive.

Wedged between garages and repair shops on the edge of an industrial stretch of Amager, it is not the kind of address anyone stumbles onto by accident, but visitors describe a staff happy to talk through the whole supply chain with anyone who asks and a retail wall of bags that changes often enough to reward repeat visits. A quiet spot to sit and cup a few coffees before deciding what to take home, more than a place built for long laptop sessions.
