DoubleShot

DoubleShot opened its Veres Pálné utca location in 2018, a second outpost after quick success at an original spot on Pozsonyi út, and the brand has since grown to three addresses across the city. The name comes from a simple rule applied to every drink on the menu, a double espresso shot in place of the usual single, and the kitchen leans just as hard into brunch as the counter does into coffee.
A La Marzocco Strada anchors the espresso side, with Chemex covering the filter menu, and beans are sold by the bag alongside a partisan coffee built with twice the usual dose of grounds for a thicker, syrupy cup. Breakfast runs from eggs Benedict and Turkish eggs to avocado toast and smash burgers, with tiramisu French toast and açai bowls on the sweeter end, plus coffee cocktails, wine, and craft beer once the day turns toward evening. Dogs are welcome throughout, and a few tables sit outside on the corner of Veres Pálné utca.
