% Arabica Budapest Király

% Arabica opened its Budapest location on Király utca in February 2025, the Kyoto founded chain's fourth market in Europe after France, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. Paris studio Ciguë built the shop inside a brick vaulted room designed by József Hild in 1844, pairing the raw vault with white tiles from the Hungarian ceramics maker Zsolnay, a nod to the tiled halls of Budapest's own thermal baths.
Beans are roasted on site from origins including Brazil, Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Indonesia, with a house approach built around letting each single origin lot speak for itself rather than leaning on one blend. The counter pours espresso, filter, and decaf alongside plant based milk, and bagged beans are sold by the counter for anyone wanting to take the roast home. Free wifi, laptop seating, and a handful of outdoor tables on Király utca round out a shop built as much for lingering as for a quick espresso on the way through the Jewish Quarter nearby.
