Katerina and Michalis opened THIRD PLACE. in August 2018 on Apollonos, pairing a slow coffee bar with a curated shop of Scandinavian and Japanese design objects, from KINTO tumblers and V60 gear to stationery and tableware. Espresso and V60 both run on single origins from Ofellia Coffee, a rotating relationship that has held since the shop's first year, and the minimalist counter doubles as a working demonstration space for the brewing equipment sold a few steps away.

The room draws a mix of tourists staying nearby and locals treating it as a working cafe, laptops open at the counter stools through the afternoon. A basement bathroom and industrial fittings give the small space more presence than its footprint suggests, and a house mascot named Troufa, prone to stealing snacks off guests' plates, has become as much a fixture as the coffee bar itself. Independent visitors consistently rank the espresso among the strongest in central Athens.
