Rum Baba Coffee Roasters

Jeroen Keyzer and Lusan Drost opened their first coffee bar, Coffee Bru, in Amsterdam Oost in 2011, and Rum Baba grew out of that project as the roasting side of the business, now running for about 15 years and still supplying Coffee Bru's beans today. The lineup leans hard into light roasts, with single origin lots from Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Colombia named things like Ndunduri and Kirinyaga, alongside an experimental Kaleidoscope series and a decaf built on the sugarcane process.

The Elandsgracht address is a working brew bar in the Jordaan, pulling both espresso and filter from the full lineup and pouring it alongside pastries baked in house, with pickup available for online orders too. It sits alongside a second shop and bakery in Amsterdam Oost and a members only roastery at Moezelhavenweg, where the actual roasting happens and visits are by appointment.
