Luuk's Coffee Noordermarkt

Luuk started Luuk's Coffee in 2021 after noticing that most specialty coffee bars sit at one extreme or the other, too technical for newcomers like his own parents, or too commercial to feel personal. He built the opposite: a cafe first brand where roasting decisions get made to serve two busy Amsterdam counters rather than competitions, and nothing goes into a retail bag until it has already proven itself pulling shots and pouring filters for real customers.

The Noordermarkt location sits right on one of the Jordaan's most historic squares, catching market mornings, tourists wandering in by accident, and regulars who order without needing to look at the board. Behind the counter, a blue La Marzocco machine and house roasted beans keep the format simple, built for consistency over complexity and for coffee people actually drink every day rather than talk about.
